The video on demand service of U-verse TV originally was part of the embedded software but to expand the functionality and to break it out of the embedded software update cycle it was moved to an internal cloud service as a web application. The core functionality was provided by Microsoft/Ericsson but I managed the design, customization, deployment and management of the software.
It was delivered to AT&T as an installer. I built scripts and tools encapsulating this installer to make it easy for our deployment team to load onto each cloud server, automatically make the proper configurations and override the graphics and code to add the U-verse TV design customizations. Testing and design were done on test environments in Austin and Atlanta routed back to my test lab in Dallas.
